I have always had a difficult time with my skin, ever since I was a teenager. I have tried more skin care treatments than you can even think of. I was never a fan of Clinque, as it dried out my skin too much. Then I actually went to a dermatologist to get a prescribed topical cream, which worked for the longest time, until my acne just stopped coming back.
I used Mario Badescu skin care products for a period of time too such as the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser and the Seaweed Night Cream, of which I still use from time to time. However, when I ran out of the Badescu cleanser, I started doing some research on other skin care products and I found Murad.
I decided to order a boat load of their products online, especially because there were more deals and coupons online rather than in store at Sephora (they carry Murad products, but not as large of a selection as the online store for Murad does).
Here is my Murad haul:
Clarifying Cleanser for Acne ($28.00).
The scent is a strong lemon. When it goes on it has a cooling sensation as well, and when you wash it off the cooling sensation stays on for about 10-15 seconds or so. I recommend it. It has reduced my acne and has prevented those deep pimples that hurt so much.
Skin Perfecting Lotion ($38.00)
This cleanser is amazing. I use it twice a day, sometimes more. It smells like vanilla/coconut heavenly goodness – but not too strong. It leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed every time. This is an oil-free version.
Acne Treatment ($18.00)
This is the only product that I was disappointed in from Murad. It says that you are supposed to place the cream on any acne spots to prevent redness and growth, but I found that it did not work very well. It maybe reduced the blemish by a little, but nothing significant.
Rapid Collagen Infusion for Lips ($24.00)
Saved the best for last. This product is AMAZING. I always want fuller lips, and this is one of the ways to get them. There is no tricks to using this infusion. It does not sting and it does not smell awful. It doesn’t really have a smell to it. I am in LOVE with this infusion. I definitely have seen a significant increase in the size of my lips. I apply this all throughout the day because not only does it infuse your lips to make them bigger, but it moisturizes them too! You can also use it as a base for anything to put on top of it. This stuff comes highly recommended from me.
The rest of the items in the featured photo were options that I chose for free. When you place your order you can choose three free options (the ones that came in the small square packets), and they also sent me a tester sized eye/wrinkle cream. I think this wrinkle cream is great, especially for more mature women. The only downside of ordering online, at least in Canada, is that they came in these weird sizes, but they still give you the proper amount of product.
Here is the eye cream they sent me, but I don’t think I will be purchasing it outside of having it as a tester. It is $95.00. I did try it on my mom though, who has sensitive skin and is allergic to the L’Oreal wrinkle creams, and she raved about this product.
Intensive Wrinkle Reducer for Eyes ($95.00)
