M.A.C Pro Longwear Concealer

This M.A.C Pro Longwear Concealer is an oldie, but a goodie. It has been around forever and has been used by so many makeup guru’s. However, I only recently added this into my makeup collection. I was looking for a more high-end concealer, as I usually use the Maybelline Age Rewind on a day to day basis, which is a Holy Grail item I must add, but I finished it and wanted to try something new.

This stuff is absolutely amazing. It really is long wear and it has the best pigment. I am in the shade NC30, as I wanted a more yellow toned colour rather than a pink toned. I also use a more yellow toned foundation from NARS, the All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, and they work perfectly together.

You can also build this concealer onto your face. I tend to use a pump to a pump and a half on one ring finger, then rub it against my other ring finger to warm up the product. I then use my ring fingers to place the concealer under my eyes, around my nose, chin and forehead and anywhere else needed. I don’t rub it in with my fingers, I instead use a damp beauty blender. It gives you the most perfect airbrushed look, concealing any pores or imperfections.

I feel as though this concealer will last me for a long time, as I only use a pump to a pump and a half each time. The bottle definitely gives you a lot of product and it isn’t a waste of money. It is $25.00 CA, but it is true to its name and gives you some of the best coverage out there. It isn’t heavy either, which is nice – you don’t feel like you are caking makeup on to your under eyes.

I will go back and forth between using this M.A.C concealer and my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind on a daily basis, but for now, this is my go to!

Ooh, I’ve tried the medium shade and liked it for my undereye circles but don’t know if they make a darker color? That one was little too pink for my face, but worked great to cover up my undereye darkness. <3

I use the YSL Touche Eclat as a highlighter and concealer. I have tried the NARS creamy concealer, and I liked that a lot, too. I’m about to run out of concealer so I might have to try this one (and the Age Rewind)!! Great post!

Loved this review! I have the pro-longwear in the lightest shade (because I have the complexion of the ghost) and i do like it but I feel like so much comes out in one pump that you have to blend it out really fast before it goes all tacky! I use it more for nights out and for daytime I use the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer as it’s only around €7! It’s just like the MAC one but it had an applicator like the NARS concealers and i find it a lot less messy than the MAC. I do love the MAC one though it is very long wearing 🙂 <3
