I am not usually one to wear creamy eye shadows, or even sparkly ones, however, this Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr product has changed my ways forever.
I love my M.A.C paint pot, but I was looking for a cheaper alternative. At my local drug store, they were all sold out of the neutral colours like beige or nude, so I decided to take a leap and buy these two colours. The darker, completely matte, grey tone is called Tough as Taupe and the gold shimmery tone is Bad to the Bronze.
The Tough as Taupe colour is a little more dry than the bronze colour, but nothing a little warming up on your ring finger can’t fix. There are some little specs of sparkle in my Tough as Taupe, but only because I was mixing between the bronze and the taupe colour. It is 100% matte with no shimmer.
These shades go perfectly together, separately and on their own. Maybelline is NOT kidding when they say that these cream shadows last for 24hrs. I mean, I didn’t wear them for 24hrs, but I did for 13hrs and they did not budge, fade, or crease!
I usually just put them on with my ring finger, and if I want to get rid of any harsh lines, I will take a small blending brush and blend the shadows out. These are super easy to apply, and work perfectly as a base for any shadows, and on their own.
I HIGHLY recommend this product if you are looking for a dupe for the M.A.C paint pots, but the nude shades are always sold out everywhere! If I finally see one in the drug store, I will most definitely pick them up. They also have tons of other colours, from nudes to bright blues, you can definitely find something that fits you!
