This year, there have been so many brands that have come out with new or improved liquid lipsticks. Some have changed their formula slightly to make them more comfortable, and some have down right scrapped their entire formula and created new ones – some for the worse, some for the better.
But on my blog, I don’t like to get caught up on the bad products, I like to help promote and spread the word about some of my favourites. That is why, this year, I am rounding up all of my favourite products in a “Best Of” series before the new year. My first post for this series will be my favourite Liquid Lipsticks! Keep an eye out for more “Best Of” posts coming soon, as you might find something you have been looking for !
I will start with my all-time, hands down, ride or die, liquid lipstick.

These liquid lipsticks are hands down my favourite. Not only because the colours are so pigmented, but also because they are long wearing, they do not dry out your lips and are so comfortable to wear. Serenata is a tiny bit streaky, but nothing that another swipe won’t fix, however, Lume is more streaky with two swipes (nothing is perfect though!). BUT I am in love with Beso and Patina, which is good news for me, because all of the other colours are limited edition (marked with *). They are super durable, I even wore Patina out to dinner, had wine, soup, a meal and desert and did not even have to touch up after dinner. I was blown away! I highly recommend these liquid lips to anyone looking for their perfect match. For the Holiday, Stila has brought out two collections, Bright & Bold and Naturally Nude, which retail for $26.00 CA. You can purchase them at Sephora or at Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques and Murale!
This one is a newbie to my collection, courtesy of the Sephora VIB sale. The Sephora Cream Lip Stain, which I guess it is not “technically” a liquid lipstick, but if it looks, feels and acts like one, I am going to call it that anyway. I have the colour 01 – Always Red, which is a bright, vibrant, fire truck red. The colour, feel, and payoff is phenomenal. It does not make my lips dry, whatsoever, which is great, especially because it is on the lower price range but still has great quality. I can’t wait to order more colours. These cream lip stains retail for $18.00 and can be found in store at Sephora or online at Sephora.ca!
The Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint used to be my number 1 go-to, but has slowly made its way to third place. I have no issue with these, but the Sephora and Stila gradually took their places. These lip paints are still amazing though. They offer great colour payoff and are super comfortable on the lips, however, they are not as long-lasting as the two above. I highly recommend the red with a lip liner, but I recommend any red lip, liquid or not, to have a liner (same goes for the reds above). I think that the only reason they are not as long-lasting as the other two is because they are more creamy, they do not dry down fully, but I still consider them matte. The two colours I have swatched are Bae (red) and TBT (mauve pink)They retail for $24.00 CA and can be found at Sephora or online at Sephora.ca!
The final collection of my favourite liquid lipsticks are the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks. They are a fantastic option for people who are looking for drug store products and pricing. They feel really nice on the lips, they are not extremely drying, but not as comfortable as the three above. Their colour pigment is nice, the lighter colours offer stronger pigmentation, the darker ones you need to swipe over a few times. But that is okay, it is nothing to make you not want the product. They aren’t extremely long-lasting, but they are good enough products to last you a few hours without re applying. I really like mixing the pink and brown together and I like mixing the darker brown with the purple to make some nice liquid lip concoctions! They retail for $10.00 CA and can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart or NYX stores! Top down the colours are:
