Working my way over from liquid lipsticks, I wanted to share with you the “Best Of” bronzers for 2016! Until recently, I had not expanded my bronzer collection, as I was a die-hard fan of the Bobbi Brown bronzer below. It was only until I got more involved with makeup that I realized I should move away from just one bronzer. So, now I have four bronzers, all of which are my favourites this year!
From left to right these are my favourite bronzers, in no particular order. They are all pretty amazing in their own ways.
The Bobbi Brown Bronzer (in medium) is an all matte bronzer. I love the fact that it is matte because I only really like shimmer in my highlight products, not even my blush. I have been using this for ages, but finally ventured out to new ones. It is perfect for an all over bronze kiss to the face and can be used for contouring as well. This product is more pricey, as it retails for $50.00 CA and can be found at either Sephora, Sephora.ca, or Holt Renfrew.
The Urban Decay Beached Bronzer (in sun-kissed) is also an all matte bronzer. It is lighter than the Bobbi Brown, as it is more warm toned than cool toned. It brings a super subtle bronze kiss to the face. It is still pigmented, but not as much as the Bobbi Brown bronzer. It is the newest bronzer to my collection and I have been loving it so far. I see it all over YouTube. I think this goes under my (extensive) list of “Things YouTube Made Me Buy”. It retails for $35.00 CA and can be found at Sephora.ca!
My latest obsession, the Physicans Formula Butter Bronzer (in medium), is absolutely amazing. It is such an amazing drug store product. Not to mention that it smells like a vacation in the Caribbean. It comes out very pigmented, but not too harsh. It is also cool toned. It blends really well on the skin and can easily be transformed into a contour or an eye shadow. It has a little bit of shine to it, but nothing crazy. Like I said, I am not a huge fan of shimmery bronzers, and I barely even notice this one has a shimmer to it. It retails for $19.99 CA and can be found at Rexall or Loblaws Super Store.
Finally, my Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzer has been a staple in my makeup set. It was the second bronzer I ventured out to after Bobbi Brown. It doesn’t swatch very pigmented, but it comes out beautifully on the skin. It has a great colour pay off with a bronzing brush. It also smells like chocolate, which I am never opposed to. It is a great drugstore product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-scale drugstore bronzer. It retails for $25.00 CA and can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Let me know your favourite bronzers of the year! I am definitely looking into trying the Maybelline and Rimmell bronzers, and I would love to know if they are worth it! Let me know in the comments below!
