Rodial Beauty Collection

I am a sucker for all UK brands, I don’t know what it is, but every time a UK brand comes to Canada, I immediately can’t wait to try it. That’s why when I heard Rodial was finally available in Canada, I was super excited.

I always see UK beauty bloggers and vloggers raving about these products, especially the bronzer and contour powders. I was given the opportunity to review a variety of products from Rodial: the Rodial Smokey Eye Sculpt Eyeshadow Palette (unavailable online at Murale)* ($45 CAN), the Instaglam Glow liquid illuminator* ($36 CAN) and the Instaglam Compact Deluxe Bronzing Powder* ($75 CAN).  These products can be purchased online or in store at Murale.

Rodial Smokey Eye Sculpt Eyeshadow Palette $45 CAN

This palette has with six different colours, five matte and one shimmer. They are all neutral colours which I love because they are really easy to use. You can use the shadows for a neutral eye look, or quickly turn any look into a smokey eye. The shadows are very pigmented and creamy. The cream colour is my favourite to use as a setting powder for any eye shadow base, or to simply use as a colour all over to neutralize the eyelid. The shadows are very blendable, which is great when you are using dark and smokey colours. They provide a seamless transition between each shade. I have also used the gold shimmer shade with setting spray, which I recommend, as it intensifies the colour and provides a good hold for a long wear.

Instaglam Glow $36 CAN

The liquid illuminater is an amazing liquid highlight. It is extremely pigmented with a perfect golden glow. This shade is in yellow, they do have a lighter one in pink which is great for lighter skin, but I love the radiant golden glow this colour gives. To use, I brushed the highlighter onto the back of my hand, dabbed my beauty sponge in it, and tapped the product on the high points on my face. I would recommend doing this instead of putting the product straight on the face because a little bit of this liquid highlight goes a long way. I know for sure I will be reaching for this product more when the weather gets warmer and my skin is more tan, but still even now, this product is an awesome long-wearing liquid highlight.

Instaglam Compact Deluxe Bronzing Powder $75 CAN

Now for my favourite product out of this collection, the Instaglam Compact Deluxe Bronzing Powder. I am usually not one to stock up on bronzers, but I am so happy that I was able to review this product. It now hits my list as my second or third most favourite bronzer. The product is pigmented, but not too harsh. It also provides the perfect sun-kissed bronze without looking muddy. It blends really well into any product that you may have on your skin, especially ontop of any foundation or cream products. I will say, however, that this product is on the pricier side, but it is a more high-end product. I highly recommend this bronzer if you were to purchase an item from the Rodial makeup line.
